WFA Engineering professional installation and technical team recently traveled to Rwanda and successfully completed the installation, commissioning, and technical training for a government pig slaughterhouse project. Following rigorous testing and trial operations, the entire pig slaughterhouse line demonstrated stable performance, with all technical indicators meeting the design requirements. The project has now been officially commissioned and put into production.

The project is equipped with modern pig slaughterhouse equipment designed and manufactured by WFA Engineering, with a production capacity of 200–500 pigs per shift. This capacity is well-positioned to meet the growing local demand for high-quality pork products. The project covers multiple key processing stages, including pig slaughtering, carcass handling, and meat cutting and processing. Through the integration of automated and standardized equipment, the pig slaughterhouse facility significantly improves slaughtering efficiency, product quality, and food safety standards.

During the implementation phase, the WFA Engineering installation team overcame various challenges related to on-site construction conditions, logistics, transportation, and equipment integration. The team strictly adhered to the project schedule and successfully advanced all installation activities. Comprehensive commissioning and performance testing were carried out to ensure the smooth and coordinated operation of all systems. In addition, WFA Engineering provided systematic technical training for local operators, enabling them to quickly master equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety management practices, thereby laying a solid foundation for the pig slaughterhouse’s long-term and stable operation.

As a key livestock industry development initiative promoted by the Government of Rwanda, the successful commissioning of this pig slaughterhouse will further enhance the country's pig slaughtering and meat processing capacity, support the upgrading of the livestock value chain, improve food safety standards, and create additional employment and economic opportunities for local communities.
